STATEMENT
Through SAVE A STAR Drug Awareness Foundation
we hope to:
RAISE AWARENESS OF DRUG ABUSE
and the disease of addiction through the
SAVE A STAR and the DEA Educational
Foundations’ partnership with the Rx Factor
Traveling Exhibit
PROVIDE SUPPORT TO PARENTS
on how to communicate with their children about drug abuse and
addiction
CREATE EDUCATIONAL TOOLS
and programs to help parents, schools, and communities identify
and, where necessary, intervene with those
at high-risk
SUPPORT THE RESEARCH OF GENETIC IDENTIFICATION
and the possible treatment of the gene or genes contributing to
drug abuse and addiction
IDENTIFY ILLEGAL INTERNET PHARMACIES
and assist law enforcement agencies to prosecute, and to work
closely with
state and federal agencies concerning
regulation of internet pharmacies
INFORM AND EDUCATE PARENTS
on how to closely monitor their children’s internet, email and
cell phone activities
